Since becoming a member of the Florida Bar in 2003, Laurie Morgan Lee has practiced business law. Throughout her experience, she has handled a full range of business transactions including high-level transactions for law firms in Downtown Jacksonville. She enjoys solving complex issues pertaining to the world of small business. Because of her unique passion for business and the law, Laurie decided to form a practice solely for the small business owner. She loves working with business owners and helping them set their goals and contribute to their achievement.
Laurie is an AV Preeminent® Peer-Rated by Martindale-Hubbel®, which is the legal profession’s highest possible rating for professional ethical standards and legal ability. A Martindale-Hubbell Rating reflects a combination of achieving a Very High General Ethical Standards rating and a Legal Ability numerical rating. This honor is achieved only after an attorney has been reviewed and recommended by fellow members of the bar and the judiciary.
Laurie became interested in technology law when she helped her clients implement their first technology applications into their businesses. She enjoys using technology in her own practice, keeping up with changes in business law, and expanding into the important field of technology law.
She says, “I founded Elevate Business Law because I wanted to be different. I wanted to feel better about my profession and how we service our clients. Having an entrepreneurial spirit, I decided to create a new kind of law practice…one that focuses on better client service and increased education. I’ve represented all kind of businesses over the years and it’s important to me that my business customers see that legal advice is valuable.”
More than anything, Laurie is fascinated with business. She likes the way systems are created and how they bring working parts together to form a functioning business. As a small business owner herself, Laurie is able to put herself in your shoes. She likes creating and building, which led to her decision to start Elevate Business Law. The decision to start her business law practice in Jacksonville was intentional. Laurie sees amazing potential among the community of entrepreneurs in the area. From social entrepreneurs to corporate retirees, Jacksonville is populated with every type of business owner.
As a former educator, Laurie is uniquely positioned to best provide her clients with a clear explanation on legal matters. She makes it easy for clients to understand the legal framework of a business transaction. In addition to helping clients understand their businesses, she also writes many educational articles and participates in speaking engagements.
Laurie is proud of her esteemed career and believes in the importance of staying active in the community in which she serves. Laurie runs Elevate Business Law out of Jacksonville but works with clients located throughout the state of Florida.
